      COMPANY PROFILE     


 
 

    Due to the existence of strong acid and alkali in wet spinning of chemical fibers, the alloy of GoId(Au), Platinum (Pt) and Rhodium(Rh) with good anti-corrosion capability was the basic material for spinnerets. However, scientists and technicians never stopped their researches to develop other cheaper materials for substitution.

    Since 1970’s, spinneret made of tantalum has been successfully used in the wet spinning of acrylic fiber because its anti-corrosion capability equivalents the precious metals spinnerets for acrylic fiber.

    However, tantalum spinneret could not be used for viscose fiber production even though people have tried various technologies for its surface treatment. The main reason is because that the unsuitable electrode potential made its spinnability inferior to Au-Pt(Rh) spinnerets, which was the crucial problem for substitution. It was not solved until the technology of “Generating LiTaO3 film through molten-salt Electro-chemical reaction directly from Ta” invented by Mr. Liu Yuzhong in 1985.

    This technology generates a polycrystalline lithium-tantalite LiTaO3 modifying layer directly from Ta substrate through molten salt Electro-Chemical reaction. The modifying layer, which consists of an insulating film layer and conductive transition layer underneath, exists homogeneously in spinneret surface including capillary inner walls. Combined with other special treatment, film-coated tantalum spinneret achieves suitable electrode potential for viscose fiber spinning, which slower depositing of tiny colloidal suspensions on spinneret capillary walls, thus the spinneret unplanned replacement frequency and broken filament rate decreased. Meanwhile, the hardness and tensile strength of transition layer is 2-3 times of Au-Pt (Rh) spinneret, film-coated tantalum spinneret is more strongly resistant to score and scratch and its service life could be prolonged. Such significant breakthroughs make it possible for film-coated tantalum spinneret to substitute for Au-Pt (Rh) spinneret.

    This technology gained two invention patent rights in China and U.S.A respectively, and one invention patent right in Europe and Japan. It was also awarded International Invention Gold Medal. To develop this promising technology, we established Beijing Huayu Spinneret works in 1988, and became the world’s first manufacturer for High Hardness Film-Coated Tantalum Spinnerets (HHFCTS). In the year of 1998, the factory was rebuilt as Beijing Huayu Chuangxin Science & Trade Co., Ltd.

    On its road to be a bright star in chemical fiber spinning, HHFCTS has been strictly tested both at home and abroad. Chinese chemical fiber companies, such as Jilin, Baoding, Hangzhou, have done series of comparative trials with HHFCTS and Au-Pt spinnerets, and HHFCTS has been the sole spinneret in Jilin Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. whose product quality ranks first in China.

    Snia (Italy) has also tested our HHFCTS in one continuous spinning machine for one year at their native plant during 1996-1997. The quarterly test reports confirmed its satisfactory spinnability. Consequently, all of their continuous spinning machines exported to China are equipped with our HHFCTS. Moreover, HHFCTS has also got positive test result in USA, Japan and Austria (Lenzing).

    That is, extensive practice and test results in the past twenty years have proved that our HHFCTS has successfully solved the crucial problem of spinnability in substituting tantalum for Au-Pt(Rh) spinneret.

    Thanks to customer’s support and patronage, our sales volume of HHFCTS has grown from 3000 pcs in 1988 to over 124,000 pcs in 2003 and over 175,000 pcs in the year of 2004. Sales of cluster type spinneret for viscose staple fiber peaked to 77,000 pcs in 2004. Till now, we have totally supplied over 1,000,000 pcs of HHFCTS and have exported to Russia, Belaruss, Ukraine, Italy, Brazil, Spain, India and Taiwan.

    Attributed to HHFCTS’s advancement in technology and extraordinary social economical efficiency, our company is authorized as “Hi-tech Enterprise” and has won 2001 Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Development Award, 2002 China National Science & Technology Development Award. In 2005, we are awarded as “Autonomous Innovation Star Enterprise” along with other 26 companies by Haidian District, Beijing Municipal Government.

    Our company implements strict quality control measures under the rules of 1S09001 Quality Management System, and are devoted to the innovation of new technology and equipment. The Automatic and semi-automatic machines aid to meet and exceed customer’s requirement. In 2003, we have developed New Technology Compound film HHFCTS with even better spinnability and hardness.
